MASTER CRAFTSPERSON IN SILVER FILIGREE (NATIONAL AWARD WINNER)
Profile of Artist:
Vangala Varaprasad is a Silver Filigree Artist and National Award Recipient. He learned this art from forefathers (VangalaRamaiah,Vangala Buchaiah & Vangala Hanumaiah) as hereditary from one generation to the other.
Recently Vangala Varaprasad have trained 20 women by handicrafts technical training program in silver Filigree under Telangana state handicrafts development corporation limited under Ministry of Textiles government of India. He has been practicing this art form more than 2 decades. The newly designed innovative items of Vangala are Swachh Bhart memento, sree kurmam box, fish tray, smallest peacock and Gandhi ji memento.
